Zola Mate

Zola Mate, MD, MBA, is the Medical Director at Cecilia Medical Center located in Ellicott City, Maryland. 

Dr. Mate was raised in Philadelphia, where he attended Temple University for his undergraduate studies. He then went on to complete his medical training and graduated from MUA School of Medicine. He also has a master's degree from Davenport University with a concentration in healthcare management. 

Dr. Mate was the lead doctor for the Gabkul Foundation, where he travelled across Central Africa providing medical care to patients in remote areas. This experience shaped his holistic approach to patient care, and he gained invaluable skills in managing complex conditions and patient cases. With over ten years of experience in medical practice, he is our medical director and oversees the clinical operations of Cecilia Medical Center. 

Dr. Mate is fluent in English, French, and Lingala.
